New Camper Finds I’m Obsessed with Right Now

Maybe you are like me. Every time I open Amazon or wander into Target, I find something I immediately want in my T@B 320. Some of it is practical. Some of it is just really, really cute. Most of it is both which, honestly, is the only kind of thing worth bringing into a small camper.

Here’s what I’ve been adding to my cart lately. A few of these are already living in my camper and I’m not going back.

Make Your Space Work Harder

Space is the ultimate luxury in a teardrop or small camper. These finds solve real problems while actually looking good doing it.

Wall Mounted Folding Table

Counter space in a teardrop galley is basically nonexistent. This wall-mounted folding table in walnut wood is the kind of find that makes you say “why didn’t I think of that sooner.” Mount it near your galley or bed, fold it down when you need a surface, fold it back up when you don’t. The warm wood tone fits right in with a natural, boho, or rustic setup.

Divided Turntable — Black Wire with Natural Wood

From the Brightroom line at Target, and I am obsessed. A lazy susan turntable with dividers is perfect for inside a cabinet and your spices, oils, and little bottles actually stay put on the road. The black wire and natural wood finish looks intentional, not like camping gear.

Small Rectangular Wire Basket with Wood Handles

Also Brightroom at Target. I use baskets like this to corral everything from snacks to toiletries to charging cables. The black wire with wood handles gives it a clean, modern look that doesn’t scream “storage solution.” Grab two.

Kitchen Counter Coffee Bar Organizer

If you’re a coffee person this little organizer from Target’s Brightroom line keeps your camp coffee station tidy and cute. It holds your pods, packets, or whatever your morning ritual requires, without taking up precious counter real estate.

Let There Be (Better) Light

Lighting can completely transform the feel of a small space, and these three are doing a lot of work for the price.

Under Cabinet Lighting (2 Pack)

Rechargeable, magnetic, motion-sensor, dimmable. This is the under cabinet lighting I didn’t know I needed. Five levels of dimming means you can have bright task lighting when you’re cooking and a soft glow when you just want to sit and enjoy the evening. No wiring, no drama.

Motion Sensor Night Light (2 Pack, Amber)

Middle of the night bathroom run in the camper is real, and it’s not glamorous. These amber plug-in night lights with motion sensor and dusk-to-dawn sensor are exactly what you need. The amber light is soft enough that it won’t wake you up fully, and the motion sensor means you don’t have to fumble for anything. $13.99 for two. Done.

Snow Peak Hozuki Lantern

This one is a splurge and worth every penny. The Snow Peak Hozuki is the lantern that Instagram campers have been obsessing over for years, and for good reason; it’s beautiful, it’s made in Japan with a lifetime guarantee, and the warm glow it puts out is exactly the kind of light you want at the end of a camp day.

Six detachable solar lights that charge via solar or USB and light up 1,000 square feet. These are site lights, meaning you stake them around your campsite instead of stringing lights everywhere. They last 20 hours and pack down small. This is one of the more clever campsite lighting solutions I’ve seen, and you can grab them on Amazon or through REI.

The Fun Stuff

These are the finds that just make me happy.

Airstream Salt & Pepper Holder

Okay, I know we’re teardrop people, not Airstream people, but this little Airstream-shaped salt and pepper holder is genuinely adorable. It’s a conversation starter and it makes the camp kitchen feel like you put some thought into it. Under $30.

Stanley 2-Gallon Adventure Jug — Dried Pine Green

Stanley has been having a moment and this jug earns it. The Dried Pine Green color is beautiful; muted, earthy, not loud, and a 2-gallon fast-flow jug is genuinely useful at camp for water, coffee station refills, or just keeping cold drinks cold. This one from Target is the right size for small campers who want a better version than the ugly plastic water jug.

Fire Maple Saturn X Gas Stove

For the camper who wants to cook seriously outside. The Saturn X has double preheat tubes, adjustable tripod legs, a windproof design, and a 70cm hose that gives you real flexibility in how you set up your cook station. This is a step up from a basic canister stove and it shows.

The Chair Blanket — Reversible, Waterproof & Sherpa-Lined

Half blanket, half chair cover – this is the product I didn’t know existed but immediately needed. The waterproof side faces the chair (goodbye wet camp chair situation), the sherpa side faces you, keeping you warm and dry even on a dewy morning. I use this every day on my back deck and when camping.
