Goal Zero Flex 100i – New GZ Flexible Solar Panel!
Goal Zero has just come out with a new flexible solar panel – just in time as I recently purchased a used Squaredrop camper and needed a solar panel to attach to the roof. This 100W Panel is the perfect solar panel solution for your van or camper.
I owned a Goal Zero Boulder 100 but rarely used it, as it was heavy, took up a lot of room, and difficult to transport. This new Goal Zero Flexible Solar Panel weighs in at under 5lbs – very lightweight and easy to carry. The size of the Flex 100i panel is 39″ tall x 23″ wide. I will continue to use my Goal Zero 50 and 28 watt Nomad Panels for camping as well, but wanted a permanent solution for my small camper – that does not have an onboard battery, so I will be using a power station.

There was a little confusion on how to attach this to my Yeti 500x – I was given two different answers by Goal Zero, one from an email and a different answer when I called. This should work for most Goal Zero Power Stations as long as they have an 8MM input.
My Solution:
**I ended up buying a SolarEnz Solar Connector to DC8mm Adapter Cable on Amazon as it is easy to return if the connector does not work. See video for more information. **
Answer 1 via email from GZ: “You can use the Flex 100 with the Yeti 500. You will need the two cables below plus an extension cable, which I have also included.”
Cable 1 MC4 to HPP Adapter
Cable 2 High Power Port to 8mm Connector
Answer 2 Via Phone with GZ: Powerwerx 8mm – MC4 Adapter: https://powerwerx.com/goal-zero-98015…
